Hashim Ali

Coach Hashim has been part of the Mikado Jiu Jitsu journey since the very beginning. What started as a commitment to training as a full-time student soon developed into a passion for teaching and helping others grow. Dedicated to his own development, Hashim spent countless hours on the mats, often training twice a day and immersing himself in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

His dedication and consistency led him to begin assisting the head coach with the kids’ Jiu-Jitsu classes. Over time, he earned the trust and responsibility to lead the junior kids’ programme independently, turning his passion for the sport into a meaningful role within the Mikado community.

Today, Coach Hashim leads our youngest students, aged 3 to 6, creating a fun, supportive, and engaging environment where children can learn the fundamentals of Jiu-Jitsu while developing confidence, coordination, discipline, and respect. His approachable teaching style helps young children feel comfortable on the mats and makes learning an enjoyable experience.

Beyond coaching, Hashim is also an active competitor who consistently proves himself on the mats, regularly earning top podium finishes. His journey reflects what Mikado stands for: dedication, steady progress, and the willingness to put in the work.

From being one of our first students to becoming a coach trusted with our youngest members, Hashim represents the growth, commitment, and community spirit at the heart of Mikado Jiu Jitsu.
